Alison fell in love with yoga for its ability to meet you where you're at. No matter your age, physical or mental state yoga forms itself to your needs. Alison’s goal is to help her students find the yoga practice that is right for them. Her classes build from the ground up with lots of dynamic, feel good movement. She offers options so students of all levels (beginner-advanced) will feel comfortable navigating through class. Alison’s classes focus on getting out of your head and finding yourself in the present on your mat.
Alison is dedicated to sharing the practice of yoga and all of it's amazing benefits with others. Through this she founded Breathe & Believe Yoga, a growing non-profit organization dedicated to providing free yoga classes to communities in need. As a life long athlete Alison also has a passion for sharing the benefits that a yoga practice can bring to an athletic training program. Alison offers one-on-one yoga sessions for athletes and “Yoga for Athletic Performance” classes at studios throughout NYC.
Alison has been practicing yoga since 2010 and teaching since 2014. She received her 200 hour yoga certification from YogaWorks under Jodie Rufty. Alison has a background teaching trauma informed yoga and completed a Trauma Informed Yoga training with Kate Graham and studied Yoga for Athletes with Sage Rountree.
